Music Ministry
The mission of music at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is to praise God through the harmonious correlation of music and liturgy, giving life, beauty, meaning, purpose and glory in our worship of God.
Our choir is accustomed to singing a broad spectrum of music, drawn from traditional to modern anthems, music from the Taize Service, and leading hymns taken from The Hymnal 1982, Lift Every Voice and Sing and Wonder, Love, and Praise. Worship music is enhanced by a two-manual organ built by the Kanawha Organ Works, consisting of 13 sets of pipes and a Trumpet Imperial.
Join us as we offer praise to God through word and song. To inquire about any aspect of St. Mark’s music program, contact the Organist/Choir Master, Ray Shackleford, at 304-552-5382 or solux@att.net.
